The volunteer-led Museum brings to life the town’s long and rich history giving you the chance to explore, enjoy and be inspired by the past in and around this ancient Cotswold town.
St Peters was first recorded in 1175 in association with the abbey that once stood to it's eastern side. The current building dates from the 1450s and appears much the same as it did then.
The town centre heritage trail starts at the Museum which was once the old Town Hall. Taking you through Winchcombe's streets, you'll see historic buildings and learn about our town's rich heritage. Buy the Guide at the Museum, allow approx 1hr to complete.
